The amazingly sexy Collectors Batgirl Adult costume shown on the left is based on the Batgirl costume worn by Alicia Silverstone in the movie, Batman and Robin. It certainly is a sight to behold with its leotard, corset, stain cape, gloves, latex belt buckle and shoulder pieces. It also comes with the obligatory bat mask. The real Batgirl costume weighed a very heavy 50 pounds, although I think this costume should be much lighter.
In the movie, Batgirl was portrayed as Alfred’s niece, Barbara Wilson, who comes to stay at Wayne Mansion until she went back to school. She joins forces with Batman and Robin to stop Poison Ivy and Mr. Freeze from turning the world into a greenhouse and destroying mankind.
On the right the sexy Batgirl Deluxe Adult costume is also guaranteed to stop the bad guys.

On the left is the very similar DC Comics Batgirl Teen costume. Both these costumes are officially licensed by DC Comics.
The original Batgirl was called Betty Kane and she appeared as the side-kick to Batwoman in 1961. By 1964 she was replaced with a new Batgirl, Barbara Gordon, who was Commissioner Gordon’s daughter.
Barbara Gordon as Batgirl appeared regularly in DC comics up to 1988. In the 1960’s television series, Batgirl was played by the actress Yvonne Craig.
Batman and Robin never knew Batgirl’s true identity and she never knew their identities. As Batgirl, Barbara Gordon changed from a dark-haired librarian into a blonde-haired siren wearing the sexiest purple and yellow costume you’ve ever seen.
